I've been doing web design since it was invented, but I tried to avoid doing it in the early days. C'mon. Tables? Little blank gif fillers? Really? Fuh-uh-ugly. I hated it.
Things have been getting better in recent years and I'm actually having fun with it. CSS made a huge difference and I use Javascript when it's appropriate. Sometimes I use a CMS like WordPress, Webvanta or BigCommerce. It all depends on what's appropriate for you and your business.
This site is where I experiment with ideas. I'll be checking out the new HTML5 and CSS3 features soon, so check back if you're interested in that sort of thing.

This annual sailboat race kicks off the season at Fern Ridge lake outside of Eugene, Oregon. Yes, we compete. No, we don't win. But it's a great challenge going up against these experienced racing sailors. We discovered, too late, that Google doesn't let you adjust the CSS in their forms. Ugh. Sometimes free costs a lot.
